What we do
Services
Scroll and watch the car. Every service lights up the part it actually touches.
Radiator + hoses
Coolant System Service
A seven-point preventative cooling check. Cooling keeps an engine from destroying itself, and it's the system most often ignored until it fails.
- Seven-point cooling system check
- Radiator and hose inspection
- Coolant condition and level
- Pressure test for leaks
Engine airbox
Air Filters
Keep your engine right with a new, clean air filter. Better MPG too. A clogged filter chokes the engine and you pay for it at the pump.
- New engine air filter
- Airbox cleaned out
- Intake inspection
- Better fuel economy
Pump + steering rack
Power Steering Flush
If your power steering fluid looks dark, it's carrying grit through the pump and the rack. A flush replaces it before those expensive parts pay the price.
- Old fluid flushed out
- Fresh power steering fluid
- Pump and rack inspection
- Leak check on the lines
Wiper arms
Wiper Blades
Brand new Premium Vision blades keep your windshield crystal clear. Michigan weather destroys rubber. Good blades clear the glass instead of smearing it.
- Premium Vision blades fitted
- Both front blades
- Washer fluid topped off
- Wiper operation checked
Behind the dash
Cabin Air Filter
The filter for the air you actually breathe. Cuts odors, fumes, pollen and other airborne nasties. If the vents smell, this is usually why.
- New cabin air filter
- Housing cleaned
- Odors and fumes reduced
- Better airflow from the vents
Transmission
Transmission Service
Improve shift performance by cleaning your transmission. Shifts that hesitate or thud are usually fluid, not failure.
- Transmission cleaned
- Fluid replaced
- Shift performance checked
- Leak inspection
Transfer case + driveline
4×4 Service
Years of experience on standard four-wheel drive (4x4) and AWD vehicles. Four-wheel drive adds a transfer case and a second driveshaft, and both need their own service.
- Transfer case fluid
- Driveshaft inspection
- 4WD engagement checked
- Driveline leak check
Between the back wheels
Rear Differential Service
The differential is the gearbox between your drive wheels. It runs on oil, that oil wears out, and a whine or hum from the back usually starts here.
- Differential fluid replaced
- Housing and seals inspected
- Gear condition checked
- Axle tube leak check

Who we are
We change your oil.
Not your schedule.
Big Ray's sits on Oakman Blvd in Dearborn, about as close to the birthplace of the American car as a garage can get. Speed is the promise, but fast only counts if it's right. Every oil change comes with a multi-point inspection, and we'll tell you when something can wait instead of selling you work you don't need.
